Biodesulfurization Processes for the Removal of Sulfur from Diesel Oil: A Perspective Report

The presence of elevated levels sulfur in diesel oil results an increased content the process stream, which poses significant risks to human health, animals, environment, vehicles, and infrastructure. Sulfur is a major contributor particulate matter (PM) total PM emissions. level pollutants emitted correlated fuel. Consequently, regulations regarding crude products, particularly oil, have become increasingly stringent. Refiners are working develop sulfur-free fuels with less than 10 ppm sulfur. To address impending threats health impact climate change on property, eco-friendly desulfurization techniques such as biodesulfurization (BDS) being explored. Several bacterial species been identified for BDS but extensive studies needed fully understand mechanism. Further research also required make it more attractive competitive industrial applications. Combining other technologies can potentially reduce operating costs improve resource allocation, making this innovation viable option industry.
